Is SEO oriented text also interesting for your audience?
There was a time when the content that you had to create for your website in order to get it to rank well in the search engines was virtually unreadable to people. Things have changed giving you far more freedom about what you write from a search engine optimization standpoint. The question is can you write content that is interesting for your audience and still rank well in the search engines?
Whether or not SEO oriented text is interesting for your audience is going to depend on what you have written. There is no reason that it can't be but in most cases you will find that it is not. There are a couple of reasons for this and neither has any relevance to search engine optimization. The first reason is that a lot of people putting content on websites are simply to lazy to write good quality content. The other reason is that they are just not good writers. Both of these problems are fairly easy to solve.
If you spend a lot of time on the web reading content you will find that a lot of it is very low quality and clearly not written for people to read. The reason for this is that from an SEO perspective having more content on the web will get more visitors to your site. Most of this content is not intended to be read so it is written just well enough to convince the search engines robots that it is about the relevant topic. Most of these sites are simply being used to send links to the sites that they are actually trying to get people to visit.
For the so called money sites, the ones that people are actually supposed to visit the quality of the content is usually better but still not great. These sites still need to have their content written with the search engines in mind. In large part that means using the keywords that you want to rank for in strategic places. This is less of an issue than it used to be which does make it easier to create content that is interesting for people to read.
The good news is that the search engines have gotten a lot better at determining what a site is about and where it should rank. The result is that the low quality content is far less useful than it used to be. Obviously this is bad news for the people who relied on lots of low quality content to get their sites ranked. For people who want to create websites that have good and useful content on them however this is good news. You can now write your content with your audience as the main focus and not have to worry about the SEO aspects. As long as the topic of your content is clear you should have no trouble getting it to rank in the search engines.
